Brief overview of the program

The Greek residence permit for Financially Independent Persons (FIP) is a residency program that allows non-EU citizens to live in Greece based on passive income. Under Law 5038/2023, the program is open to individuals with sufficient financial means to cover living expenses without the need to work or run a business in the country.

The applicant must demonstrate a stable monthly income of EUR 3,500 (increased by 20% for a spouse and by 15% for each child) derived from sources outside Greece. The residence permit is issued for 3 years and can be renewed. The FIP visa also allows free travel within the Schengen Area and the possibility to obtain residence permits for family members.
