The Province of Quebec is launching three new immigration programs. Initially, they will be pilots and after they prove to be effective, they will be permanent. The new programs are expected to be in a five-year testing phase.
Launched programs will open the possibility of entry into the country for foreign citizens, working in areas such as food industry, health, information technology, visual effects and work with artificial intelligence. To participate, applicants must prove the ability to provide for themselves and their families for two months since the arrival. Applicants must also be at least 18 years old, and in most cases, they will be required to have a work record acquired in Quebec.
Quebec authorities are keen to help the province's employers to compete with those from other parts of Canada. Programs, that bring in experienced professionals in certain fields, will help to solve some serious problems with the shortage of qualified workers in the Quebec labor market. It is also a good opportunity for foreigners to move to a country with a stable economy, where their experience and knowledge will be decently paid, and where the standard of living is one of the highest in the world.
